Holy Ten slams Chivayo’s Fortuner gift to Mtukudzi’s widow amid Family Feud

By Marshall Bwanya

Harare – Outspoken Zim Hip Hop artist, Holy Ten, has sharply criticized controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo for gifting a Toyota Fortuner to the widow of late music icon Oliver Mtukudzi, Daisy.

The donation comes amidst a public airing of family discord between Daisy and her stepdaughters, Sandra and Selmor Mtukudzi.

Sandra and Selmor, daughters from Mtukudzi’s first marriage with Melody Murape recently accused Daisy of neglect, abuse, and favoritism within the family.

In a scathing social media post, Holy Ten accused Chivayo of meddling in the Mtukudzi family’s affairs for personal gain and clout.

“There’s nothing progressive you’ve done. My friend, get out of people’s lives.

“Yesterday you were looking for Mukanya (Thomas Mapfumo), today you’re meddling with Mutukudzi’s family affairs,” wrote Holy Ten.

“These are actual families that you think can just change their direction using money.

“Cool down Wicknell you now bore me honestly,” Holy Ten added.

Chivayo’s gift, which he presented to Daisy as the “one and only official wife,” has sparked mixed reactions.

While some view it as a generous gesture, others accuse him of seeking attention through controversy.

Sandra, the eldest daughter of Mtukudzi’s first marriage with Murape, recounted being treated as a second-class family member, forced to share meals with the family pet and subjected to humiliating punishments.

“I would be told that I had to share the pot with the dog,” she revealed.

“We had a dog called Kwanai and while others were eating rice, I would be told that I would get my sadza from the same put as Kwanai,” Sandra narrated her tragic ordeal.

Holy Ten’s condemnation of Chivayo’s actions adds a new dimension to the ongoing family feud, highlighting the public scrutiny surrounding the Mtukudzi family and Chivayo.
