Gutu – The decomposing remains of a Chitungwiza teacher, who went missing during the second term school holiday, have been discovered in Gutu.

Stella Mushangidze Chidzenga, a Grade 2 teacher at Shingayi Government Primary School in St Mary’s, Chitungwiza, had been missing since August.

A chilling discovery was made when a young herdboy stumbled upon the decomposing body parts in Gutu.

The local headman was notified, and authorities were called to the scene.

While the police initially struggled to locate the exact spot of the remains, they eventually recovered the body parts, which bore disturbing signs of a ritualistic murder.
Chidzenga, who lived in Ushewokunze with her two children, had reportedly left home to seek medical attention in Harare’s CBD.

However, she never returned home.

Her uncle, who broke the tragic news of her death, revealed that clothing items, including a dress, slip-ons, handbag, wallet, and mobile phone, were found near the remains.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Chidzenga’s disappearance and death.

A postmortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
