HARARE – Robert Mugabe Jr, son of the late former president Robert Mugabe, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning following his arrest on Wednesday over alleged illegal drug possession.
Mugabe Jr, who was represented by his lawyer Ashiel Mugiya, is accused of being found in possession of two sachets of cannabis sativa and a quantity of cocaine. The substances were allegedly discovered hidden between a bundle of cash.
Court proceedings are still underway, and further details are expected to emerge as the case develops.
