Mt Hampden, Harare – The prestigious US$500 million Zim Cyber City project, which aims to bring Dubai-style infrastructure and luxury to Harare, is back on track, with the first 50 luxurious apartments scheduled for completion by March 2025.

The ambitious development will feature at least 600 units, including commercial offices, residential apartments, and a state-of-the-art shopping mall.

Special Presidential Adviser and Prevail Group International (PGI) Chairperson, Dr. Paul Tungwarara, whose company is spearheading the project, confirmed that significant progress is underway.

“By March next year, we should have completed the first 50 housing units,” said Dr. Tungwarara.

“We will then proceed with the construction of shopping malls, the tower, and other key infrastructure.”

At the construction site, Prevail Group International has already completed foundations for the villas, as well as tarred roads, and installed water and sewer systems.

“We are also building a pool with dancing fountains, similar to those in Dubai. Zim Cyber City will indeed be a mini-Dubai,” Dr. Tungwarara said. “This project aligns with the President’s vision for modernisizing the nation.”

Located next to Zimbabwe’s new Parliament building, the Cyber City will include duty-free shops, entertainment zones, and more.

Its centerpiece, the Mulk Tower, will rise over 20 stories, featuring a restaurant and a hotel at its summit.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has emphasized that projects like Zim Cyber City align with his administration’s vision of transforming Zimbabwe into a middle-income country by 2030.

The Second Republic has launched several large-scale infrastructure projects, including the New Parliament building, roads, clinics, and schools.

With its luxurious and futuristic design, Zim Cyber City promises to be a transformative addition to Harare’s skyline and an embodiment of Zimbabwe’s aspirations for growth and modernisation.
