Harare – The Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) on Wednesday facilitated a women entrepreneurs’ factory tour at National Foods Limited in Harare.

The tour, an initiative conducted through CZI’s Women in Industry (WIN) platform, formed a key part of the organization’s Women’s Month activities to empower women entrepreneurs and strengthen their ties with the manufacturing sector.

The exclusive tour welcomed 20 women entrepreneurs and start-up founders, offering them a rare opportunity to witness the intricate workings of large-scale manufacturing operations.

Participants gained valuable insights into industrial production processes, quality control measures, and operational efficiencies that drive Zimbabwe’s thriving food production sector.

Designed to bridge the gap between entrepreneurship and industrial expertise, the tour provided hands-on learning and direct engagement with professionals in the field.

The women had the chance to interact with National Foods staff, ask pertinent questions about operational models, and explore how the company achieves innovation and scalability in food production.

CZI emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusive industrial growth and providing women with the necessary exposure to succeed in technical sectors like manufacturing.

“This experience is crucial for women entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses.

“By seeing firsthand how large manufacturers operate, they can draw inspiration and practical knowledge to apply in their own ventures,” said a CZI representative.

The visit to National Foods underscored the need for continued engagement and knowledge-sharing between established industries and emerging business leaders.

CZI extended its gratitude to National Foods Limited for its willingness to collaborate and contribute to the advancement of women in business.

The WIN platform remains committed to championing initiatives that support women across all sectors of Zimbabwean industry.

Zimbabwe continues to push for economic inclusivity, and noble programs inclusive of women entrepreneurs’ engagement in business signal a positive shift toward a more diverse and empowered industrial landscape.

WIN and CZI plan to expand similar engagements in the future, ensuring that more women entrepreneurs have access to the insights and resources needed to drive sustainable business growth.
