HARARE — ZimDancehall prodigy Winky D and Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Busy Signal have dropped a sizzling surprise collaboration titled “Drink Up.”
The track, released unexpectedly over the weekend, comes with an AI-generated music video.
It has set social media ablaze ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Castle Lager National Braai Festival, set for October 18 at Glamis Arena in Harare.
The single, first teased as “Let’s Link Up and Drink Up Tonight,” celebrates unity, music, and good vibes.
It perfectly captures the festive mood as fans gear up for the grand Castle Braai finale.
Rumours of a Winky D–Busy Signal collaboration had been circulating since August.
Few expected the surprise drop just days after their joint performance.
The announcement sent fans into a frenzy. Within hours, #DrinkUpCollabo was trending across X and TikTok.
“This is beyond a collab — it’s a cultural bridge.
“Winky D just proved ZimDancehall belongs on the global stage,” one fan posted
The AI-powered video adds a futuristic twist.
It features digital versions of both artists performing in a virtual mashup of Kingston and Harare — holographic dancers, neon-lit streets, and a crowd raising their drinks in celebration.
The collabo comes as Castle Lager rolls out its nationwide Micro Braai events.
These are building up to the 10-year anniversary celebration at Glamis Arena.
The event will feature a star-studded lineup, including two of South Africa’s biggest acts — DJ Tira and Heavy K.
Add mouthwatering braai, cold brews, and the unmistakable vibe that has made the Castle Braai Fest a national favourite.
Other trailblazing local artists set to perform include Nutty O, Tamy Moyo, Qounfuzed, Enzo Ishall, Master H, Saintfloew, and Nisha Ts.
With early bird tickets selling like hot cakes, anticipation for the Harare finale is sky-high.
Fans are already calling “Drink Up” the official party anthem of the Braai Fest season.
This isn’t the first time Winky D and Busy Signal have shared a rhythm.
Earlier this year, they both appeared on the “Dubstyle Riddim” produced by Dynamq.
But “Drink Up” marks their first full collaboration — and it’s already being hailed as one of 2025’s biggest cross-continental hits.
With the countdown to the Castle Braai 10th Anniversary Grand Celebration now on, one thing is clear.
Winky D and Busy Signal have given the nation its ultimate soundtrack to raise a glass — and a flame — to unity.
